The sitting/ diner is spacious with beech wood flooring and rugs with double doors opening onto a large pretty courtyard garden ( NOTE – there is a pond to the rear of the garden. Children must be supervised). The attractive country style kitchen/ breakfast room is well equipped with a laundry area.

Upstairs are the bedrooms, all comfortable and well presented (restricted height in places) The family bathroom is well appointed with a Victorian style white suite and a handset shower. There is a further shower room and WC downstairs.

An appealing renovation which has incorporated and added many attractive traditional features from beamed ceilings to pamment style flooring. Stylishly appointed with traditional rustic furnishings this is an extremely pleasant cottage in which to base yourself.

Both the double bedroom (with TV) and the single bedroom ( please note there is a ladder style staircase in this bedroom to the roof space which is not open to guests) are on the ground floor as is the bathroom. There is a shower facility in the form of the ’telephone handset’ Victorian style fitting. The kitchen with Butler sink is in the shaker style and well equipped ( coffee machine, sandwich maker etc) with a wooden dining table comfortably seating 3. The sitting room occupies all the first floor with a wonderful vaulted and beamed ceiling. A super room to relax and unwind in. (TV and DVD)

Within easy walking distance are the distinctive, independently owned shops offering a variety not to be found on your usual High Street. Off picturesque lokes, quiet courtyards can be found to sit and relax in. Across the road is the unusual area of Spout Hills where fresh water springs feed a large pool, a haven for wildlife. From here walk the old railway line into the heart of the countryside. Axed in the 60’s by the Beeching cuts, the embankments are a profusion of primroses and offer wonderful views from the elevated banks.

The owners have put a great deal of thought and care into this cottage providing tasteful, comfortable furnishings. The result is a first class, well equipped retreat, absolutely ideal for a family holiday. Home from home comforts and little personal touches give this cottage that extra something. The rear garden is a very attractive cottage garden of middling size with a delightful summer house to relax in.

Aimed at discerning couples and small families. Stylish and comfortable, it is the perfect retreat in the heart of this unspoilt, interesting town. A carefully thought out, immaculate renovation of an original turn of the Century building, combining period features with all the advantages of modern design.

The bedroom is indulgently spacious, with a character sloping ceiling and triple aspect view which allows light to flood in and onto the Sunday papers.

There’s a King size double bed amongst quality hardwood furniture, with remotely controlled blackout blinds for extra comfort and convenience.

The bathroom is a practical space with another bright window, an electric shower over the bath, plus a heated towel rail. Downstairs the open plan sitting / dining room is a very generous size, complete with 42 inch plasma TV, Digital Freeview, DVD player and CD hi fi, and is tastefully furnished towards the minimal along clean unfussy lines. Mainly decorated in neutral colours with a pair of two seater, very comfortable leather sofas.

The kitchen is small but well planned and attractive with fitted units, a halogen hob with stainless steel oven and extractor, washer and fridge freezer. Outside there is a small but adequate illuminated terrace, perfect for watching the world hurry by on the thoughtfully provided bistro table and chairs.

A delightful traditional brick and flint cottage centrally located in the prettiest part of Holt, within an easy stroll for morning coffee and papers, pubs, shops and restaurants.

A character cottage providing an ideal base from which to explore Holt and the surrounding area. The owners have recently refurbished the cottage keeping the character details such as the working open fire in the living room and the ornamental fireplace in the double bedroom. The small kitchen is well equipped with an extending table accommodating 4 people and opens onto the rear courtyard (with garden furniture). The pretty front garden, gravelled with shrubs and flowers, is south east facing and sunny. There is a useful downstairs shower room (newly installed) as well as an upstairs bathroom so no queues in the morning!

Newly renovated Cannister Hall Cottage is the perfect romantic retreat, discreetly tucked away in the heart of Holt within an easy stroll to cafes, restaurants, Sunday papers and coffee. Its origins are unknown but it is certainly circa late 1700’s and its thick walls, pamment flooring and beamy interior attest to a venerable age.

The interior décor and furnishings offer genuine character, charm and comfort. Upstairs, the en-suite bathroom has an over- bath shower and heated towel rail. Downstairs, the cosy sitting room has a squashy sofa, fireside chairs and, for those chilly evenings, a double-sided wood burning stove which is shared with the dining room by an unusual “through” fireplace, making the whole cottage warm and cosy. The open plan galley kitchen/ dining room is pamment tiled and well equipped. A pretty courtyard garden with a water feature and stone bench finishes off this superb little retreat.

One in a small row of pretty, traditional brick and flint terrace cottages Kiln Cottage provides all the amenities for a very happy stay in Holt, handy for access to the local amenities and the coast.

Furnished in a traditional style the sitting room is open plan to the dining area and through to the kitchen with a door to the garden. In the evening you can sit at the bottom of the garden to catch the late sunshine. The double bedroom is a good size whilst the twin room is smaller but does have access to the single room should you need the extra space.

The Lawns Sleeps 6

Towards the edge of Holt yet with a 1 minute stroll of the Town centre, the Lawns dates back (in part) to circa 1650 and the house and grounds are Listed as being of historic and/or architectural merit. The house has been carefully restored to its former glory with the imposing tiled entrance hall and staircase of particular delight with its Dutch bronze chandelier. Wonderful, full height bow fronted Georgian windows give super views over the south facing gardens together with double doors which open onto the garden from both the sitting room and dining room. The Georgian marble surround fireplaces are in both these rooms but only the fireplace in the sitting room is in full working order and both bay windows still boast their original wooden shutters. Teamed with curtains which add a cosy feel, these spacious and light filled rooms are comfortable spaces to relax in.

The kitchen is large, fully fitted (gas cooker) and well equipped with modern units and a small extendable breakfast table (further seating in the dining room). Off the kitchen is a small utility room and WC with wash hand basin.

Two main bedrooms are very spacious; one boasts a particularly stunning 4 poster bed. The third bedroom is smaller and overlooks the original back courtyard and the former stables.

There is a fully fitted modern bathroom with newly installed units and an efficient shower over the bath as well as the further WC downstairs.

The sheltered and sunny secure gardens are large and partly walled with a combination of lawns and flower beds with an ancient Rosa Banksii of particular note, flowering in May/June.  A huge London Plane tree provides shade in high summer.

Probably the most unfair name we’ve come across. Hell Hole Barn is delightful and the location – at the end of an unmade up but well kept track - rural tranquillity. This is a wonderful opportunity to stay in a rural retreat and yet be close to Holt and the coast.

Recently renovated to a high standard the accommodation is spacious and well laid out around a sunny large courtyard garden perfect for summer BBQ’s. Hell Hole is surrounded by fields; footpaths are on your doorstep and there is a pleasant walk through countryside to the Wheatsheaf pub at West Beckham. The kitchen is well equipped with a Rangemaster cooker, larder fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer. The doors from the sitting room open onto the courtyard and there is a woodburning stove for cosy winter evenings. The accommodation is all on one level so suitable for the less abled.

The attractive large rear garden backs onto the Stody Estate and is peaceful and private.
