Southrepps

A bit further East than the traditional tourist areas of North Norfolk, just as pretty and largely undiscovered. The almost deserted and little known sandy beaches of this part of Norfolk are just 2.5 miles away and there are the busy seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer close by. Felbrigg Hall (National Trust) is local and there is fresh water fishing at Roughton and Gimingham. For a lovely day trip, the nearest Broad is at Wroxham only about 25-30 mins drive.

Stable Cottage Sleeps 3 (all on one level)

Interior photo / 2 / 3 / 4

1 double, 1 single, open plan sitting/dining/kitchen, bathroom (with power shower over bath). Patio garden. Well behaved dog welcome. Parking for 2 cars.

Situated in a quiet, pretty location just on the outskirts of South Repps yet within easy walking distance of the 2 village shops and a pub that does very good food. The cottage itself is a conversion from the old rectorys stable block and provides quaint rustic style accommodation all on one level. A brand new bathroom has been recently installed with a power shower and plenty of hot water. Although slightly dated in parts the cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bedrooms are of a good size and the living space is sociable and an adequate size for 3 adults. There is a pretty patio garden with tables and chairs for those al fresco meals. Literally on your doorstep are tranquil rural walks with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. The coast is close by and the Broads are about 25 mins away, just right for a day trip.

Interior photo / 2 / 3 / 4 / Exterior / 2 / 3

2 double bedrooms, (1 ensuite), family bathroom, large open plan living area with fitted kitchen

Luxury loft style living the Norfolk way – great views, a myriad of different activities on your doorstep, unspoilt countryside. A wonderful, unusual place to have a holiday.

Superbly appointed and newly furnished this apartment, serviced by a lift (and stairs) has extraordinary views of the mill race and river. A sophisticated, peaceful atmosphere with plenty of original features preserved.

The furnishings have been carefully considered and are of a very good quality, in keeping with the atmosphere of the Mill. The master bedroom (with the ensuite) features a wonderful pitched ceiling with reclaimed beams and painted partially clapboarded walls giving such a cosy feel. Enhancing this are richly coloured throws and cushions. The other double bedroom is slightly smaller and uses the additional family bathroom (with a telephone handset style shower attachment). Both the ensuite and bathroom are fully fitted with immaculate white suites.

The wooden kitchen units (U shaped layout) are of a modern, uncluttered style with stainless steel fittings and appliances. Extensively and thoughtfully equipped it is a sociable space, open plan to the living and dining area.

In every aspect the owners have carefully considered the comfort of their guests. There are smart toiletries supplied in the ensuite and bathroom with towels provided. Extensive information is left for guests, detailing the surrounding area and things to do.

Within a 10 min drive (or take a train ride – see below)  are the Broads where you can hire a pleasure boat, approx 30 mins drive to the little known, fantastic sandy beach at Mundesley and there are excellent country houses close by. You can fish as much as you like on the private banks of the River Bure and the river is navigable for canoes. (launch in the field to the right of the Mill).

(The Bure Valley Railway operates on a 15" narrow gauge line between the towns of Aylsham and Wroxham stopping at Buxton, a journey of nine miles. It runs on the old East Norfolk Railway route and takes in some beautiful Norfolk countryside. The railway mainly operates steam locomotives carrying passengers in fully enclosed comfortable coaches, a journey time of 45 minutes.)
